Friends

A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
a better and happier place.

Friends.... Time Passing By

I'd just like to let,
a few people know.
Their friendship means alot,
I haven't let go.
Time is short
But never gone
Our friendship is forever(for a eternity)
and forever strong
We've all met new friends
more convient with time
But our hearts hold
All the memories confined
The busy schedule each
of us holds,
Only makes more interesting,
each story told.
Reminiscing 'bout the days of youth
which we all commonly share,
glues the bondage,secure,
that will always be there.
Need I remind you I'll never forget,
100's of times I could turn on you.
With knowing I still can
yet after the things we've been
through here ,
No one could ever replace,
the closeness we have built.
Like i said,time is scarce,
but the friendship held in my heart
will never despair.
Just as time goes on,
and days pass by,
So much is treasured,
as little as "hi"
When everyone's gone.
Our new lives have begun
We'll tell our children
of the good times and the great fun.
Even though we'll be apart,
No one can
unlock the door to my heart.
Because memories I cherish
locked deep inside,
Will remain there forever
and the key I will hide.

Review:
A lovely poem and the special place where we keep our friends and safe with key. Once line particularly struck me - mainly for the thought - more convient with time - this is an unusual recognition that friends are very much not a convenience but at our convenience. It is almost hidden away in the poem and seems to me very profound. Clara
